Not unlimited, but more than diverse

Induction cooktops, warming drawers, steam ovens, ovens, refrigerators, and much more. The kitchens at Kochbar inspire with high-tech features while simultaneously leaving room for creativity and a little bit of chaos.

The exquisitely equipped Kochbar Berlin is brought to life by the experience and knowledge of Alo Theis. Its unique flavor comes from all the experiences, all the events, all the delicacies conjured up here, all the recipes tried out, and all the little mishaps that have happened and will happen here.

The clean design is brought to life by individuality and personality, creating something that can tell many a story.

In addition to classic cooking classes, the 200 sqm kitchen loft hosts relaxed team events, illustrious family celebrations and creative Christmas parties.

Here, men cook for women, bosses for assistants, carnivores for vegetarians, and preferably everyone cooks together.

Our philosophy: The kitchen as a playing field

According to Alo Theis, the cooking school is far more than just a school. His cooking school is the manifestation of the phenomenon that parties always begin and end in the kitchen. And in between, that's always where the most action is.

Thus, the specialty of Theis' Kochbar, besides the special selection of cooking classes, the individual event offer and the years of experience, is simply the cuisine itself.

The kitchen as a magical place, as the "family" among the rooms.

Naturally, Theis's conviction that learning comes from doing, that one only learns and grows through trying things out, creativity and plenty of mistakes, also contributes to the success of Kochbar.

The man behind the kitchen counter, with his mischievous smile, encourages participation, inviting people to venture into new, unknown territory and to grow beyond their perceived limitations.

After all participants have been shown how to hold their fingers correctly when cutting and where the first aid kit is located, they immediately get down to business.

Here, learning becomes cooking, and cooking becomes enjoyment.
